Board Elections

Any Council Tenant* or Leaseholder* (other than a Local Authority Person) who has been a tenant or leaseholder for one year or more and is also a member may stand for election. All Board members usually serve for a three-year term of office subject to the provisions of the Constitution of KCTMO. A tenant or leaseholder must be nominated by at two members to be able to stand for election. The elections are held in any year where there is a vacancy to fill and each member can only vote for as many candidates as there are vacancies to fill.

*A council tenant is the named tenant of a property used as a residence as a consequence of a tenancy granted by the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea or KCTMO, who is not a Leaseholder.

*A leaseholder is the named lessee of a property pursuant to a lease granted by the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and any individual owning the freehold of a Property for which a service charge is payable to the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.
